Being slow to be fast

Have you ever been in a rush to get something completed?

Often at these times our brain is driven by adrenaline and other chemicals and it can be difficult to think clearly.

It can be all too easy to lose track of time, space, priorities and focus.

Taking a step back and getting clear on the end result, the timeframe, the possible results and the infinite ways we can achieve the outcomes we desire can give us access to a more optimal route and to the clarity which only comes when you  think through, document and probably plan before you begin your venture.

It is almost inevitable that something will happen that you have not planned for, and this is when taking a moment to really get present to what needs to be done and the order that it needs to be done can see tremendous results for you in your life and in your ventures.

Be Slow to Be Fast – Tai Chi Proverb

There are times when it is essential to be quick and agile.

Times when lives are on the line, millions or billions in revenue or opportunities.

These are the times when being clear about your vision for the long run, and your own skills/attributes and key metrics are essential.

We’ve been on the trading floor when the IT systems have collapsed in the middle of the market trading, we’ve experienced someone needing emergency medical care, being able to keep calm and focussed is essential.

The greatest secret of the Samurai, The Knights Templars and the inner circle guard was to be able to keep their heads while all around were losing theirs – Martial Arts Master

Sometimes, all it takes is taking a moment to pause, and reset your thinking to see that more options are possible, more resources are available.

Keep your mind and focus on the end vision you want to create.

Next Steps:
